Shortly after graduating college from CalPoly, Ryan found himself employed full-time with adventure photographer Chris Burkard. As his photo editor and first assistant for over 6 years, Ryan worked beside Burkard on shoots across the globe working with world-renowned clients.
During that time he continued to tackle his own commercial opportunities and personal projects. He’s worked with a highly notable roster of clients including Apple, Honda, NatGeo and Coors Light to name just a few — but his favorite jobs are the ones where he gets to help invent a brand’s aesthetic.
In 2020 he stepped into freelance full-time and continues to hunt those awe-inspiring moments that drove him to photography in the first place. He currently resides in San Luis Obispo, CA but can be found anywhere across the world, but chances are it’s somewhere land and sea collide.
